I’ve been reading that conjunctivitis can be caused by a virus, and I simultaneously caught yet another cold. Are the two related?
It’s called Pang Da Hai (Boat Sterculia Seed). Steep for 30 minutes then drink.
It’s spring and I’m sick again! How much of my life has been spent battling colds? Here to read some of my own advice.
When I feel a cold coming on, I tend to reach for some herbs that can stave it off. But, if I really am sick, what then? Some remedies are tonics, and have a tendency to build and make you stronger, but when you are already weak, you want to purge what’s making you sick.
Therefore, it’s considered not helpful to take “tonic” remedies, like mushrooms or astragalus, when already sick.
Dr. Weil keeps up with research, but knows a lot about alternative methods. He’s also willing to be corrected when new research shows up.
You can find fritillaria syrup at places that sell Chinese medicine and remedies. It’s wonderful for coughs, and usually contains honey—no refined sugars or fake sugars!
